The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday shortlisted three names for the post of Telangana’s DGP.
The UPSC meeting was also attended by the officials of Department of Personnel Training, Home Department and the UPSC panel members. They held detailed discussion on six candidates and shortlisted three names of Anurag Sharma, Abdul Khayyum Khan and Aruna Bahugana. The UPSC panel will forward these names to the State Government and it would be asked to pick any of them for the DGP’s post.
Anurag Sharma is presently serving as the incharge DGP and the State Government would select one IPS officer for the post on regular basis. (INN)
