UrbanClap hires pioneer Amit Das


New Delhi : India’s leading mobile services marketplace UrbanClap has announced appointment of former VP, Amit Das as its new Vice President for Design.

Inspired by pure enthusiasm, Amit will be responsible for leading the product development and design function within UrbanClap.

Furthermore, his prior experience in data visualization and Interaction design, UI design, usability testing, and user research will be instrumental in furthering business goals of UrbanClap.

Commenting on the new appointment, Co-founder UrbanClap, Abhiraj Bhal said, “In competitive times such as these, having a unique product and business model can make any business stand out among its competitors. Therefore, we are delighted to have Amit on-board with us to utilize his expertise in making UrbanClap a pioneer in the E-commerce platform.”

Speaking on his decision to join UrbanClap, VP-Design, Amit Das said, “I was familiar with the UrbanClap app and had used it for a while in Mumbai and later, in Gurgaon, where I recently shifted base. I was quite impressed with its design and user-friendly interface. After meeting the founding team and few senior members, I could very well relate with the company goals and came on-board inspired by their vision of my role within the company – helping build the largest service marketplace via world-class product design, enabled by innovative technology.”

In the past, Amit has been associated with and FusionCharts.
