UrbanClap to send plumbers free of cost to households as part of its ‘Save Water’ campaign

New Delhi : UrbanClap, one of India’s largest on-demand service marketplace has announced the launch of its ‘Save Water’ campaign in Chennai as part of its ongoing CSR activity which has been a great success in Mumbai and Pune. Helping to reduce water scarcity woes in the city, the activity will involve sending plumbers to select households and fix any water leakage issues free of cost.

The campaign will begin in the city from 5th of June, 2016 and will last for three days. Its operations will be looked over by UrbanClap’s Chennai team, who will be responsible for delivering requests across the city till 8th of June, 2016.

Commenting on this initiative, Abhiraj Bhal , co-founder, UrbanClap said: “After receiving positive feedback for this campaign from both Mumbai and Pune, we decided to promote the cause of water conservation in Chennai, which is currently facing water crisis in some areas. Through this initiative, we aim to fix water shortage issues in households by fixing leaking taps and pipes, and also hope to instill a sense of social awareness among the general public, which may help prevent any kind of water shortage issues in the near future.”

Anyone wishing to avail this service can log in to UrbanClap mobile app and place a request via Save Water Chennai option. After registering the request, users will be connected with a professional plumber nearby, who will visit their house and fix any leaking taps or pipes.
