Utham, Shabbir dub KCR’s meeting in Warangal as utter flop

TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Leader of the Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir have dismissed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s yesterday’s public meeting in Warangal as an ‘Utter flop’.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, the Congress leaders questioned the Chief Minister as what he has done for Warangal city though the people elected Kadiam Srihari by a huge majority. They said KCR did nothing but went on criticizing the Congress in Warangal meeting on Tuesday. Alleging that crisis in agriculture was just because of KCR government, they questioned the State and Central governments as to why they were quarrelling with each other rather than helping the distressed farmers.

They faulted the TRS leaders for claiming responsibility for creation of Telangana State. They asserted that creation of separate Telangana State was possible only with the resignations of Congress MPs and ministers. While the Congress leaders have brought about Telangana State, TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was falsely claiming credit for the achievement, they said.

CLP leader in Assembly K Jana Reddy said the remarks made by KCR against him on Tuesday were full of lies. It was not proper for KCR to say that he had floated Telangana Forum for the sake of minister post, he said. “We convinced AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi on Telangana issue and brought about separate Telangana State”, he added.
