Uttam warns of retaliation if TRS leaders Harass sarpanches

Continuing his tirade against the TRS government even on the second day of training camp for sarpanches and upa-sarpanches, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has warned that the Congress would retaliate if TRS leaders harassed the Congress sarpanches and upa sarpanches.

Speaking at the training camp for Sarpanches and Upa-Sarpanches here on Tuesday, Uttam exuded confidence that Congress would storm back to power in the 2019 elections. He said his party would not forget harassment of Congress activists by the ruling TRS party to join the regional party. Assuring the party sarpanches that Congress leadership would stand by them if the ruling party troubled them, Uttam warned that the Congress party would not tolerate if the ruling party tried to suppress Congress sarpanches and upa-sarpanches illegally.

Condemning the Joint Cheque Power system introduced by the TRS government, Uttam said it was atrocious on the part of the State government that the latter was making the sarpanches spend the funds they get on electricity bills. Alleging that the TRS government has taken up Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha schemes for “commissions”, Uttam said the government has no money to pay to farmers, students, patients and farm laborers but it has a lot of money to pay to the contractors every month. He also alleged that the TRS government was forcibly taking money from sarpanches allotted for Water Grid scheme by taking signatures forcibly. “The Sarpanchs didn’t win on the mercy of TRS party. They won with the blessings of people. There is no need to fear the TRS party”, he stated.

Alleging that the TRS government was trying to create differences between the Congress sarpanches and the people, the TPCC president assured the sarpanches not to be afraid of he TRS government and move forward with the Congress ideology. The party leaders would stand by the Congress sarpanches and they have to visit every door in the villages to tell them about Congress ideology. (NSS)
