Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohammed Aslam Parvaiz launched Urdu website of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) on Thursday. On the occasion he said since the medium of instruction of Maulana Azad National Urdu University is Urdu hence it was necessary for the university to have its website in Urdu language but due to some technical and other reasons the website was available in English.
The Vice Chancellor further clarified that presently the website is opening in English by default. But the work is in final phase and within a few days it will automatically open with default home page in Urdu. However the website will also be available in English and Hindi also, so that non-Urdu speaking persons can also benefit from it.
The website has been prepared by Director Centre for Information Technology Prof. Abdul Wahed and his team. Urdu matter was prepared under the supervision of Prof. Naseemuddin Farees.
