Venkaiah asks party men to counter Oppn charges

In wake of criticism on the package announced by NDA government, Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today asked the BJP leaders to strongly counter these allegations and educate the people about the Central government’s promises being implemented.

Venkaiah Naidu told this when some BJP leaders from Andhra Pradesh called on him and thanked him for announcement of special package to the State. No decision has been taken on railway zone, he said and asked why then Congress government had not included special category issue in the bifurcation Act.

Stating that the newly created Andhra Pradesh State needs Central help for its allround development, Venkaiah Naidu said, adding there was a need of mutual cooperation between the Centre and States. The BJP was extending all possible help to AP, he said.

“The Prime Minister was paying special attention to Andhra Pradesh”, he said, adding that as per the bifurcation act educational institutions have  to be opened in 10 years. But the Centre has helped to set up educational institutions in the State in just two years, the Union minister said. (NSS)
