Congress senior leader and three-time MP V Hanumanth Rao has said the film Telugu industry was being destroyed due to the directors like Ramgopal Varma.
Hanumanth Rao, along with his followers, staged a dharna at Censor Board Office here on Thursday demanding that the Board immediately ban the wall posters “Arjun Reddy lip-lock”. Speaking on the occasion, VH alleged that several cinema wall posters were in dirty manner. He lashed out at the Censor Board officials as to what they were doing when the people producing films were provoking violence in the society. Stating that so-called eminent director Ramgopal Varma has no shame at all, VH alleged that the film industry was destroying moral values due to directors like Ramgopal Varma. He also expressed grave concern that the film directors like Ramgopal Verma may eve show direct rape scenes and copulation in future.
Responding to lip-lock scene in “Arjun Reddy” film, VH demanded that the film producers remove lip-lock scenes immediately. He also warned of dire consequences if the film was released with lip-lock scenes. He also felt the irate people may pelt stones and attack the theatres screening the film. (NSS)
