VH questions PM’s silence on Note ban

Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao has questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi to tell as to why he was not opening his mouth even after completion of 50 days after the announcement of demonetization of big notes.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, VH wondered at BJP leaders for saying that AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi was obstructing the process of digging black money. The economists were saying that the nation had gone three years back with the maladroit decision of Modi, he said and alleged that Modi stored Rs 2000 denominations in huge amounts to buy votes in five States, where elections to be held soon. He demanded that Modi not to sign on Land Acquisition Act of Telangana State. He informed that he will tour the districts from January 18 to 21 on demonetization issue.  (NSS)
