VHR warns against change in name of Uppal Stadium

Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao on Monday warned the TRS Government of massive protest if it attempts to change the name of Rajiv Gandhi Stadium at Uppal.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, VHR alleged that the TRS Government has been making attempts to change the name of stadium. He said that the Congress party would strongly oppose such moves.

He also informed that the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on May 21 would be observed as Anti-Terrorism Day. He said that the occasion would be observed in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and Congress workers would clean the statues of Rajiv Gandhi located across both the Telugu States. (INN)
