Vice President’s Brunei visit delayed further

Bali: Vice President Hamid Ansari’s departure for a day-long visit to Brunei has been further delayed for a day as Bali airport in Indonesia remained closed due to volcanic eruption at Mount Barujari.

Vice President Ansari reached Bali on Tuesday in the first leg of his two-nation visit to Indonesia and Brunei.

He was scheduled to depart for Brunei yesterday.

Amidst the delay in flights underworld don Chhota Rajan’s deportation was cancelled as Bali airport and airspace remain closed till tomorrow.

The eruption of Mount Barujari sent ash and debris more than 11,000 feet into the air. More than 100 flights had already been cancelled at Bali on Wednesday and dozens more have been delayed or cancelled at other airports.
