An Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) worker on Wednesday caught fire while burning an effigy of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur. Abhay was admitted to a nearby hospital in Kanpur’s Gurudev Palace area after the party workers doused off the fire. The ABVP workers were protesting against Owaisi, who stirred a row on Sunday with his remark that he won’t chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ to prove his loyalty to the nation.
