Mumbai: Video of a man, identified as BJP leader Ravindra Bawanthade, kissing a woman publicly in moving bus has gone viral on social media. The woman has accused the BJP leader of raping her.
The video footage was captured on the CCTV. As the video went viral, the woman approached the police and filed a rape case against Bawanthade, who is absconding, DC reports.
The video showed Bawanthade kissing the woman and forcing himself upon her in the moving bus, that was packed with other passengers. The bus was travelling from Nagpur to Chandrapur area of Gadchiroli district.
Meanwhile, the woman has alleged that the BJP leader promised her a job and assured marriage before raping her. The video has given a shock to Maharashtra political setting. Local BJP leaders have refused to give any statement over the incident.
