Video: “Google Play Protect” to detect and remove malicious apps from your Smartphone – Know how to enable it

New Delhi: In an attempt to increase security in Android smartphone, Google announced a tool by the name “Google Play Protect” which can detect and remove the malicious app from phones of the users.

According to the report published in DC, users can allow the app to send malicious app details to Google so that it can be removed from Play Store.

To enable this new feature of Google, users need to update Google Play Store on their phones. Once it is updated, the feature will automatically get enabled in the smartphone which fulfils the requirements.

It is also reported that users can have an access to “Google Play Protect” on their Android smartphone by clicking on Settings. In the settings, tab on Google and then on Security.

In “Google Play Protect”, users can view the apps which have been recently scanned. Although this feature gets enabled once Google Play Store is updated but users can disable the feature by toggling the “scan device for security threats”.
