Video: UP Govt. official Hafiz Usman raises ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan

Moradabad: Hafiz Usman, State Information Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh in his speech on the occasion of an RTI-related function held at Panchayat Bhawan in Moradabad on Tuesday raised the slogans “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. This act of the officer shocked many people. Audience who attended this function got confused as to why did he raise such slogans?

It is to be mentioned that Hafiz Usman was the Chief Guest at the function. The function was attended by several senior officials.

In his speech, criticizing Saudi Arabia’s tight censorship, he said that India is the only country where people enjoy freedom of speech. He also raised triple talaq issue.

According to the news published in The Quint, he said, “Why triple talaq, I say even one talaq is wrong”. He expressed the view that women suffer due to the triple talaq.

The Programme Coordinator objected for raising religious slogans in his speech but he did not stop and grabbed the microphone twice from the other speakers.
