The 30-year-old actress claims she was seen as “Satan” especially by her fellow Americans for carrying the Quran.

“They crucified me for it in America,” she said. “They made me seem like Satan. I was a bad person for holding that Quran.

“I was so happy to leave [America] and go back to London after that, because I felt so unsafe in my own country. If this [Islam] is something that I want to learn, this is my own will.”

This year, the Hollywood A-lister visits Syrian refugee camp in Turkey donned a headscarf as a mark of respect for workers in the Syrian refugee camps.

She said that she felt honored by the generosity she received from everyone at the camp.

“I met a wonderful aid worker (Azize) at The Refugee Camp in Antep. She saw that my eyes lit up when I told her that her headscarf is beautiful. She waved to me and said, come with me, I followed her and she gifted it to me. I was so moved and touched by this that I wanted to wear it in appreciation for all of the generosity and love I received from everyone at the camp,” Lohan writes on her Istagram.

“she went out of her own way to allow me to be part of her culture and she didn’t have to do that. I merely said I liked the color of her headscarf and she gave it to me.”
