Video: Hungarian camerawoman who kicked and tripped Syrian refugees plans to sue refugee and Facebook

A Hungarian camerawoman, Petra Laszlo (40) who was caught tripping and kicking refugees on camera last month announced that she plans to sue a Syrian refugee who was kicked by her.

 

She also said that she will sue Facebook for not taking down content against her. She claimed that Facebook played a major role in defaming her. She named a group by name “Petra Laszlo shame wall” which consists of 10,000 members for posting negative content against her.

Earlier, Laszlo was fired by her employer for behaving unacceptably after the video she appeared in went viral. She kicked and tripped many Syrian refugees near Serbian border. Laszlo also apologized for her behavior on 8th September after the video got viral. She wrote in the Magyar Nemzet newspaper that she was “sincerely sorry for what happened”. She claimed that she acted out of fear and panic.

 

She claimed that 52-year-old Syrian refugee, Osama Abdul Mohsen who fallen on his child after being tripped by her, changed his testimony because he initially blamed the police.

 

However, currently she is facing criminal charges for “violence against a member of the community” and if proved she will be punished by up to six years in prison.
