New Delhi: JNU Students’ Union President, Kanhaiya Kumar who has been in the centre of a controversy over alleged anti-national sloganeering in JNU campus, has finally responded to the open debate challenge from a 15-year-old girl, Jhanvi Behal resident of Ludhiana, Punjab.
It is to be noted that Jhanvi Behal, an activist who was awarded for her contribution to ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ on Sunday criticised JNU Students’ Union President Kanhaiya Kumar and challenged him for an open debate on freedom of expression.
She said “What Kanhaiya ji said about Prime Minister Modi wasn’t appreciable at all. Instead of criticizing the Prime Minister, he should have something on those who raised anti-national slogans in the campus”.
“I invite him for an open debate on what he said on Prime Minister Modi,” she added.
Jhanvi, who is due to appear for her board exams this year, has received a lot of attention on social media after her challenge to Kumar about a week ago.
