Gujarat: The Gujarat Assembly on Thursday witnessed the opposition and the ruling party hitting and abusing each other.
Two Congress MLAs, including Baldevji Thakor, a BJP MLA and Junior Minister Nirmala Vadhwani slightly got injured. Looking at the scenario, Speaker Ramanlal Vora adjourned the house for some time.
The clashes started when the congress MLA Paresh Dhanani asked the opponent about the suicide of farmers in Amreli district and started an argument. Later the argument turned into brawl.
Senior Congress MLA Shaktisinh Gohil named the incident “black day” for democracy and provoked the opponent to start a fight. The fight got so immense that the speaker had to suspend two Congress leaders for creating nuisance in the room.
Baldevji Thakor, a Congress MLA filed a police complaint against the attacker.
