Village Panchayats should maintain online records: Jupally

Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao today directed officials of Village panchayats to maintain online records for transparency and focus on improving revenue generation through house-wise survey. Along with commissioner Anitha Ramachandran, the Minister made a surprise visit to Komapply village panchayat in Kutbullapur mandal and expressed displeasure at the poor maintenance of the records.

The minister held a meeting with Sarpanch, ward members and officials and asked them to maintain online records. He directed to dismantle illegal layouts and structures and focus on providing basic amenities to the people. The minister asked for making amendments in taxing methods and conduct house wise survey for improvement of revenue generation. He also asked the officials to submit a detailed report on illegal layouts and structures. The Village Panchayats should take immediate and continuous steps for sanitation and provide common amenities, he added. (NSS)
