Viqar’s associates acquitted, CM’s unconditional apology over Viqar’s encounter demanded

Hyderabad: Now that the 3 associates of Viqar Ahmed have been confirmed innocent and acquitted by the court, President Telangana Pradesh Congress Minority Department Mr. Mohammed Khaja Fakhruddin demanded unconditionally apology from Chief Minister KCR to the family members of under trials who were killed in a fake encounter and demanded CBI enquiry into the matter.

Mr. Mohammed Khaja Fakhruddin said that he has faith in law and respects law but the police took law in their own hands and killed Viqar Ahmed, Syed Amjad Ali, Mohammed Zakir, Dr. Haneef and Izhar on April 7, 2015 in an encounter at Alair, while they were being brought from Warangal Central Jail to Nampally court for a scheduled court hearing. He said that the Congress party had declared the encounter fake, right from the beginning itself and demanded CBI enquiry.

And now the three associates of Viqar were acquitted on Wednesday by II additional metropolitan sessions judge. The judge after going into the details of the evidence produced by CIC found that there is insufficient evidence to prove the connection between the three accused to the conspiracy, as alleged by the prosecution. The court in its judgment also observed that the prosecution could not prove the recoveries made by them to the given case.

Mr. Fakhruddin said, respecting the court verdict, Chief Minister should tender an unconditional apology to the family members of Viqar Ahmed and others who were killed in the fake encounter.
