Hyderabad: A rift has been noted in the independent functioning of Wakf Board. Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare instructed the CEO to send the file of Mutawalli against whom action was proposed by the former Special Officer of Wakf Board, Mr. Shaik Mohammed Iqbal.
It was alleged that the said Mutawalli had sold out wakf lands. A notice was issued to him for which he sent his reply. The reply was not satisfactory. The secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare is under pressure from the local political party and he is hesitating to take action against the mutawalli.
