‘Wanted’ Naxal woman arrested in Narayanpur

Narayanpur (Chhattisgarh) : Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel on Wednesday arrested a wanted Naxalite woman from Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur area.

The active Naxal carried a reward of Rs. 1, 10, 000 on her head.

Last month, three Naxals, accused of being involved in attacking the security forces, surrendered before the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in Narayanpur.

The Naxals, who surrendered before 45th and 46th battalion of the ITBP, were wanted in connection with blasts and firing on security forces during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Over 180 Naxals have surrendered before security personnel in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district in the past three months. (ANI)
