Wanted Oscar dress to be feminine, classic: Priyanka Chopra

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who turned heads with her Zuhair Murad white gown at the 88th Oscars, said she was clear she wanted her dress for the big day to be “very classic.”

For her maiden Oscar red carpet appearance, the 33-year-old “Quantico” star opted for a white embellished strapless gown by the Lebanese designer.

“I want it to be like feminine, and very classic for the Oscars,” she said.

The “Bajirao Mastani” actress said she wanted “to be comfortable, for sure,” in her gown, and the dress itself needed to be something that lasts all evening, reported E! Online.

“I can’t be told what to wear. So, when I told Sophia (Priyanka’s LA-based stylist) I was like, it has to be a moment… The outfit.

“It’s one of the biggest red carpets in the world. It’s super long so, I want to be comfortable for sure. And something that lasts the whole evening… You know it’s not ripping.”

The actress slipped into a shimmery Jenny Packham dress for the Vanity Fair post Oscars party.
