Hyderabad: Waqf properties worth crores of rupees are being grabbed by others within Greater Municipal Corporation Warangal limits due to lack of proper care and security. Repeated representations were made with higher officials of the district in this connection but in vain. Land grabbers are illegal occupying the land, undertaking unauthorised constructions and raking in money.
Chief Advisor Waqf Protection and Development Committee M A K Tanveer apprised Commission Greater Warangal about the situation.
Mr. Tanveer told that he informed the commissioner about Hazrat Zinda Bhakan, Hazrat Syed Jaan Allah Shaheed Husaini Alam Eidgah, Masjid Meerpet graveyard, Aengolagadda, Hanmakonda X-road, Dargah Hazrat Yaqoob Shaheed railway station, Qila Warangal and other Waqf properties. Commissioner assured to protect the said properties.
