NEW DELHI: Responding to Saifullah’s encounter, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said there is nothing more to say when the father of the slain suspect himself disowned his son, adding the authorities clarified that they have no evidence yet to any ISIS links.
Taking to micro-blogging site Owaisi tweeted, “# lucknowEncounter very brave that father& brother have disowned their son Saifullah. Youth must never fall prey to violent terrorist ideology ( sic).”

His praise leave many wonder why he hailed the decision of the father of the slain IS suspect.
Mohammed Sartaj, Saifullah’s father had yesterday refused to accept his son’s body saying “if he could not be loyal to the country, how can he be ours”.
UP ATS on Wednesday killed Saifullah in a 12 hour operation on the outskirts of Lucknow.
Uttar Pradesh Police (ADG UP) Daljeet Chaudhary in a press conference on Wednesday said the youth was self-radicalised and was influenced by ‘literature’ adding the authorities have no evidence yet to any ISIS links.
