Watch: Autowala strikes again, drags girl to 200 meters in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A day after 48-year-old man being hit by an auto-rickshaw in the Old City, another freak accident incident happened at Attapur junction of Rajendranagar in Hyderabad.

A video of a woman being dragged on the road by an autorickshaw is doing rounds on social media and television channels.

In video, the woman, clad in a salwar-kameez, was seen trying to stop an auto-rickshaw in which another woman and a child are seated.

The autorickshaw with no number plate dragged her off to 200 meters. Two men were seen running after the vehicle, trying to rescue her.

Passengers who is present at the incident escorted her and provided water to drink. They later took her to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

It was not known whether she was trying to catch hold of the auto or her clothes got stuck in the vehicle.

Police has not yet received any complaint in connection with the incident so far.

An official of Rajendranagar police station told Telangana Today, “We are trying to figure out the place. We are also checking closed circuit cameras in suspected areas to know what happened. Action will be taken based on the outcome.”
