Durg (Chhattisgarh): As cost of tomatoes hits all time low of Rs 1 per kilogram, the farmers unloaded 70 trucks of tomatoes on road.
The incident occurred on Monday at Dhamdha town of Durg, Chhattisgarh.
Due to the strange protest, huge traffic on road caused the travelers inconvenience.
The non-availability of cash in the wake of scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes has dented the prices of the kitchen staple, causing hardship to poor farmers who are largely dependent on tomatoes for their livelihood in this season.
