Mumbai: A few days ago, Sonu Nigam sat on the busy streets of Juhu and sang his heart out, quite literally. Dressed in tattered clothes, disguised as a homeless old man, Sonu made sure nobody on the streets recognized him while he continued to grab some attention from people around him with his mesmerizing voice.
This is where Sayyed spotted him, sat with him and recorded his voice in his mobile phone. And when Sonu finished singing, he silently gave Rs 12 in his hand asking whether he had food or not.
This gesture touched Sonu deeply and he expressed his desire to meet him.
Shahbaz Ali Sayyed, an ex-FSL employee, is also die hard fan of Sonu Nigam in real life. The meet started with a very tight hug, and Sonu showing off the Rs 12 given to him by Shahbaz, which was framed and kept in the same shelf as his awards.
Sayyed said that, his friend Vaibhvi, his last company colleague, informed him about the video that went viral. “My friend WhatApp me that I met Sonu Nigam. I could not believe it. Then she shared the video.”
