Watchman burns puppies, booked

Hyderabad: In an inhuman act, a watchman of an apartment in Bowenpally allegedly burnt two puppies (less than two years old) alive. The incident is reported to have occurred on Monday near the Dairy Farm Road, in Bowenpally.

A case has been booked against the watchman under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act in Bowenpally police station.

The offender is identified as Ramakrishna. According to a local, Ramakrishna burnt two puppies alive, on the pretext of clearing wild growth. One of the puppies, who had suffered 40% burns and was shifted to the Blue Cross, died a day after the incident.
