WB Elections 2016: Mamata Banerjee urges TMC workers to avoid infighting

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Saturday asked the party workers to accord importance to the old cadre who had been with the party during its days of struggle and also urged them to stay away from infighting.

Banerjee on Saturday presided over the organisational evaluation meeting of Bankura and Purulia districts which was also attended by the party MP Mukul Roy.

“Mamata during the meeting asked us to work hard for the party. She also asked us to give more importance to the old timers and called upon the newcomers to understand the party and its struggle,” said a party leader requesting anonymity.

Banerjee also urged the party cadres to stay away from infighting, the leader said. During her address to the party leaders, MPs and MLAs of the two districts, Banerjee underscored the need for highlighting development work undertaken by the government and not to be provoked by opposition parties before the elections.

Addressing the closed door meeting Mukul Roy also asked party workers to stay united. Ahead of the Assembly elections, Banerjee is conducting organisational evaluation meeting of districts every week.
