Whither Rs. 100, Rs. 50 notes?

Hyderabad: Central Govt. has scrapped only Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes but since demonetisation it seems as if both Rs. 100 and Rs. 50 notes have gone out of sight. At best only Rs. 2000 note is seen everywhere. But that too reduced to an object in the wallet, as most small shops and service providers are not willing to give out change for such a large denomination as Rs 2000 unless one is buying goods or services worth at least 90% of the value. The question arises where have Rs. 100 and Rs. 50 notes gone. When one goes to exchange old demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in banks, most of the banks are issuing only the new pink 2000 rupee notes. Why Rs. 100 or Rs. 50 notes are not given in exchange? Is there any unrevealed ban on supply of these notes?
