‘Whole world looking at India’s cultural legacy’: PM

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday heaped praise on India’s diversity and said that the country has a cultural legacy which the whole world is looking at.

Speaking at the World Cultural Festival, a three-day event being organised by the Art of Living Foundation, Prime Minister Modi said, “India is so diverse. It has so much to contribute to the world. India has a cultural legacy that the whole world is looking at.”

“If we keep criticising everything we have and do not take pride in our cultural legacy, why should the world look at us?” he added.

The Prime Minister also congratulated AOL’s founder and spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and said that the event organised in the national capital was a ‘Kumbh Mela’ of art and culture.

“I want to congratulate Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. His mission has spread all over the world, in various nations. Through Art of Living, the world has got to know about India. In international relations, soft power plays an important role. This is a Kumbh Mela of art and culture,” he said. (ANI)
