Hyderabad: A woman committed suicide by setting herself ablaze at Chilkalguda, Secunderabad. Her husband too caught fire during an attempt to rescue his wife and died.
According to Chilkalguda police 30-year-old Balamani, W/O Gopal, R/O Shah Abad Guda resorted to the extreme step at Shah Abad Guda. She doused herself in kerosene and set herself ablaze.
During an attempt to save his scorched wife, husband also caught fire and sustained serious burn injuries. Both the husband and wife were shifted to the hospital where wife died while undergoing treatment, while the husband died in the afternoon.
