Jind (Hr): The wife of Sunil Jaglan, who came into the news after Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised him for his ‘Selie with Daughter’ initiative, today lost the election for the post of Bibipur sarpanch to her nearest rival by 85 votes.
Deepa Jaglan got 1,470 votes whereas her rival Deepika Sahoo got 1,555 votes, according to officials.
The third candidate Kamlesh managed just 25 votes.
Sunil Jaglan, who is the outgoing sarpanch for the Bibipur village, reserved this time for women candidates, has confirmed that his wife Deepa has lost the poll.
