Hyderabad: As part of 100 days action plan, a target was fixed for the supply of 3000 free WiFi centers in the jurisdiction of GHMC. The tenure of action plan ended two-weeks back. It is reported that service providers are demanding certain relaxations from the Govt. GHMC sent its proposals to the Govt. Some institutions have installed WiFi equipments at 250 centers and they are ready to provide service but they want certain relaxations. Since GHMC has no authority to relax, it has sent the proposal to the Govt. At present WiFi facility is available at 200 centers in Husain Sagar and Hitech city areas. WiFi service is provided free for a few minutes and then charges are levied for the time consumed.
