Hyderabad: The Excise Policy of Govt. of Telangana would become instrumental in the increase of number of wine shops and bars. Excise Dept. is making plans to issue more licenses to wine shops. It is understood that in the newly formed districts, these licenses would be issued according to the size of population. These steps are being taken to increase the income of the Govt.
As per the existing rules, bar license were issued for 13000 populations. Now it will be issues for 11000 populations. It is proposed to issue licenses to 135 bars.
