Witnesses of Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case changed their confession statement

Hyderabad: National Investigation Agency received a big blow when four witnesses denied to have given any confession statements to the investigating agency. The agency had presented Akash Singh, Praful Methi, Pawan Sule and Sunil Joshi for alleged bomb blast in Makkah Masjid, Dargah Ajmer Shareef and other places. Investigating Agency had received information that Devender Gupta, Lokesh Sharma, Swami Aseemanand, Bharat Mohan Lal Rateshwar alias Bharat Bhai, Rajender Chowdry, Sandeep V. Dange, Ram Chander Kalsangar alias Rangi has conspired to blast bombs at various Muslim religious places in the country and they had taken mobile phones and SIM cards under fake names. The agency had claimed that the above RSS workers had hatched the conspiracy blasting bombs. They had taken the cell phones in order to remain in contacts with each other but four witnesss belonging to Madhya Pradesh denied their statements.

It may be mentioned that on 18th May 2007, in a powerful bomb blast in Makkah Masjid, nine worshipers were killed and 58 were injured after Friday prayer. CBI had presented charge sheet against these accused persons on 13th December 2010.

It may be noted that the hearing of Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case is going on in the court but important witnesses are getting deviated from their statements given to the investigating agencies. A few days back, a minister from Jharkhand had also deviated from his statement.
