Greater Noida: A woman was attacked with acid allegedly by her neighbours following a dispute, the police said today.
The victim, Piya, had an argument with her neighbours two days ago in Chitehra village, Dadri Police Station in-charge Ram Singh said.
They were pacified by other neighbours and the matter was resolved. However, last night some youths threw acid on her.
Piya suffered 12 per cent burns on her body and she alleged that her neighbours were behind the attack.
An FIR has been registered in connection with the case and the accused are on the run, the police official said.
In Bisrakh, one Pravin was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a 3-year-old girl, the police said.
His neighbours handed him over to the police today when they saw him trying to rape the girl.
