Etah: A woman was allegedly gangraped by five assailants who also thrashed and looted her family members in Noorpur village, police said today.
The incident occurred on October 14, 2015 when the accused forcibly entered the house of one Dinesh and looted cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees. His wife was gangraped by the five men at gunpoint, they said.
An FIR was lodged yesterday in this connection after the complainant moved an application in the district court stating that the Etah police had refused to lodge an FIR last year.
A case has been registered under IPC sections 395, 376, 323, 452 against the five accused, police said adding, no arrests have been made so far.
