Batala: A 35-year-old woman teacher was shot dead here today after she reportedly resisted molestation attempt by two youths.
Rupinder Kaur, a resident of Bhangwa village, had come with her family to participate in the shagun ceremony of her relative when two youths allegedly tried to molest her, police said.
When she objected, the accused shot her dead, they said adding following the incident, Parvinder Singh and his accomplice were overpowered by the people and handed over to police.
The duo was arrested and a case registered against them, police said.
