Woman stabbed to death by brother-in-law in Faridabad

Faridabad: A 30-year-old woman has been murdered here allegedly by the younger brother of his husband, police said today.

According to the report filed with the police by the victim’s husband Sunder, a resident of Balmiki Mohalla in Ballabgarh area of Faridabad, his 26-year-old brother Jogendra used to come in drunken state and fight with her.

The complainant has been working with a private company and his wife too worked in some other company in Faridabad.

Sunder said that his brother Jogendra used to fight with his wife on a daily basis.

Yesterday on reaching home at about 8 PM, Sunder said he found his wife lying on the floor and Jogendra, wielding a knife, repeatedly stabbing her.

A wooden log lying there, was also found stained with blood, suggesting that the woman was first hit by the log and was stabbed repeatedly once she fall on the ground, police said.

The woman was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.

A case was registered with Police Station City Ballabgarh under section 302 of IPC yesterday.

The Investigating Officer, ASI Surender said, the motive behind the murder is still not known, adding, the accused is at large.
