Beijing: An unidentified women was riding her scooter when she was hit by a car. However, instead of getting up, she continued lying on the floor, blocking the traffic. The reason is the girl was too busy on social media. Apparently she was hooked onto Weibo, the country’s social media site.
The cause of the accident is also said to be driving alongside chatting. Social media sites such as WeChat and Weibo are very popular in China. “Onlookers were alarmed however the woman got out her phone and continued to talk to friends on social media regardless of her own safety and the impact on traffic.”
Many people have commented on the woman’s actions. Police were called to the scene and are investigating the accident further.
