We won’t join TRS, says Komatireddy Bros

Hyderabad: Even as the ruling TRS party was continuing to lure Congress members in the Assembly and Council, Congress MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy politely rejected the feelers.
Talking to mediapersons at Assembly Lobbies, Rajagopal Reddy said neither he nor his elder brother and former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy have no plans to defect to the ruling party. His remarks assume significance as a section of the media claimed that Komatireddy brothers were keen on joining the ruling party in Telangana.
“Though the TRS was inviting seniors and prominent leaders from various parties and some defected in recent times, we will not do so”, he said. Unwilling to deny that the TRS also knocked on their doors with an invitation to get into its fold, he said, “We fought for the statehood and our party high command accorded it. We are indeed, loyal to our party, which gave us everything”, he said candidly. It is clear that Komatireddy brothers were averse to succumb to the feelers of the ruling party. (NSS)
