National President Welfare Party of India Dr. Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas after the consent of State Working Committee Welfare Party of Telangana has constituted 11-member Steering Committee to prepare the party for the ensuing Municipal elections in the state. The committee is aimed at expediting membership process and generating public opinion on issues.
Founder member of the party Mr. Kamal Ather Tandoori has been appointed as convenor of the committee and Mohammed Rahmat as co-convenor. State Working Committee of the party felt that the present government had made a number of promises with the public in general and minorities in particular however its one year performance had been disappointing. The issue of 12 pc reservations to Muslims has been kept in cold storage while the government also maintained criminal silence on Alair encounter.
