A Cordon & Search operation was conducted at Hakeempet area under Banjara Hills police limits on the intervening night of October 31 and November 1 under the supervision of West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police A Venkateshwara Rao IPS.
A 500 police force, including four ACPs, 13 Inspectors and 30 Sub-Inspector participated in the operation and searched 600 houses. The drive yielded seizure of 45 two-wheelers without documents, three Autos. Five African nationals were detained for not having proper documents.
The search parties also caught 23 rowdy-sheeters and questioned 19 suspects, including five ex-snatchers, who were moving suspiciously in the area. The police also seized 66 liquor bottles and nabbed two persons Raju and Bhavani Singh, who were selling liquor without license. The police personnel also searched open grounds and function halls for criminal elements. (NSS)
