New Delhi : Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, who was the country’s finance minister in former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Cabinet, will hold an orientation programme for Delhi Finance Minister, Finance Secretary and MLAs on budget and its process on March 15.
The officials of the Delhi Government had earlier approached the former finance minister seeking his directions on making the budget.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s Parliamentary Party meeting was held at the Parliament here on Wednesday during which party president Amit Shah urged the Members of Parliaments to pro actively involve themselves in explaining the key aspects of the Budget to people in their constituencies.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu, addressing the media after the meeting, said that Budget was made keeping all the sections of the society in mind, adding that MPs must ensure that its benefits reach people. (ANI)
