Years of ‘Chennai Express’: Shah Rukh Khan thanks entire team!

Saturday, 8 August: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has thanked actress Deepika Padukone, filmmaker Rohit Shetty and the team of “Chennai Express” on the hit movie’s two year anniversary. The 49-year-old actor took to Twitter to express his gratitude towards the team, who worked on the action comedy, which released on Eid in 2013.

“Love to Rohit, Dudley, Vishal Shekhar, @deepikapadukone, Honey, Steven, Nikitin, Satyarajji, UTV RC and the Team for the fun times on Chennai Express,” he said.

Shah Rukh also thanked his team of the 1997 Subhash Ghai directed romantic film “Pardes”, which completed 18 years. “And time to thank Mr Ghai Mahima Kabir Ahmed Sarojji Amrishji Nadeem Shravan & everyone in the film for making Pardes so memorable,” he wrote.

“Pardes”, which was released to celebrate 50 years of India’s independence, was the debut film of actress Mahima Chaudhry, and also starred Amrish Puri, Apoorva Agnihotri and Alok Nath.
