Yechury repeats triple talaq barb at BJP, says UP polls will present BJP with third talaq

Hyderabad: Leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Sitaram Yechury slammed central government for its efforts to abolish triple Talaq. The upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections would be the third talaq for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been talking about triple talaq, he reiterated. The reverse at the Delhi Assembly election was the first talaq and the Bihar debacle was the second and the upcoming UP polls will present him with the third and final talaq, he explained.

Yechury took part in Mahajana Padyatra in Medak district and addressed the public. Alleging that demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes was a “thoughtless” action by the NDA government, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said it will take 175 days for the situation to come to normalcy as the currency crisis was created by Modi government by scrapping high denomination notes.

He told that his party has begun padyatra in Telangana for social justice, and claimed that social justice is impossible without including scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and minorities who account for 93 percent of the total population.
