Yoga makes life better, more efficient: Venkaiah

Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today said yoga was not for those retiring from life, but facing it. “It is about making life better, more efficient and unleashing its true potential”, he added.

The Union minister was speaking after inaugurating 16th foundation day of Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence at Ramakrishna Mutt here. The institute imparts training to different sections from the society like youth, students, teachers, government employees, PSU employees, professionals and so on in spiritual, moral, ethical values as well as to develop personality and excellence in action. Till date, it has trained over six lakh persons.

 

There are so many ‘Days’ either designated by UNO or commercial forces of the world. But International Day of Yoga (June 21)- as enunciated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by his UNESCO speech is India’s gift to world, Venkaiah Naidu observed.
